House by This Wicked Tongue

House by This Wicked Tongue
8 Out Of 10

If this band doesn't submit this song for a soundtrack, then all hope for the music business is gone. Driving drums and tight guitar work accent the empowering vocals. The strength of her vocals adds just the right mix to the hard hitting backup track. In a business that female leads can get pigeon holed and lost in the fray. Her raspy take no prisoner voice will blow the doors off the cage.  Not only does her sound make you rock it makes you want to hear more of the bands catalog. In a genre that female singers fall behind in she will quickly rise to the top. Keep an eye and ear out because they're coming and there is nothing you can do to stop it. Move over Gwen,Pink, and Amy power female vocals has a new measuring stick.

Came Upon The Midnight Clear by Annette Mcleod

Ahhhh Christmas music the way it should be, and the way I remember it. Take my money please. If her wonderful vocals and great accompaniment isn't in everyone playlist by Thanksgiving then it would be like a year without a Santa. It's spring while I review this and I want to put the Christmas lights back up and sit with my family listening to this track. I't everything seasonal music should be beautiful voice strong backing of the piano and just enough strings to let everything seep in. Bravo

Wheel By Robert Monroe

Nice voice on this young man, accompanied by a fine backing track. I really think he could get plenty of airplay with the right promotion. He also is a better than average storyteller which will help him on his way. The only thing that out me off was I thought his vocal volume was a little low on the track, not a bad thing but his voice is excellent and it should be the forefront of his music.

The Lord's Prayer by Annette Mcleod

What a soothing instrumental and velvet voice. The piano accompaniment is not overpowering. Very relaxing to hear and makes you want to close your eyes and drift away with the story. Can't wait to hear more. While listening to her voice it can take you  back to a happier time when you could feel the emotions in her lyrics

SO SEXY by DYNOMITE KID

These guys had me tapping my toes and bobbin my head a few cords in. Neither the beat or vocals are overpowering which is always a good sign that they trust in both. While the content may restrict the airplay, the crucial 17 to 30 year old demographic will definitely buy their CD's. While I am far from being their target audience good music is good music I would turn this ditty up with the windows down during the summer. Good beat, good lyrica, with good instrumentation can't go wrong with that combo.

Rose Petals by Sid Koeppe

While I did enjoy the beat and what vocals were sung. It sounded like a 90 seconds of an intro to a great club song. The hook did hook me but I was waiting for so much more. If the band was trying to plant an earworm in they have succeeded. I may have to take a timeout in a deprivation chamber to get it out. YEAH YEAH YEAH ! But a catchy hook will only go so far. With a good voice and good arrangement they have my attention but what will they do next to keep me moving

Too Legit by Tre Live

3.5 Out Of Ten

Another cookie cutter song. It's been done for the last 20 years. In todays music you need so much more to pull your audience in and keep them with you. While the lyrics were well done the music almost drowned them out there needs to be a balance between bass and vocals and I don't think this has it.
